BOURGON, Eliza (née Stang) – The Lord saw that you were tired, so he took your hand and said come home to me. Mrs. Eliza Bourgon, in her sleep at Sandfield Place Nursing Home, Cornwall on Friday April 12, 2019 at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Lionel Bourgon. Loving mother of Yvette Taillon (James “Jim”), Robert Auger (Joan MacGillivray), and Donald Bourgon (Emily). Sadly missed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her children Jacqueline “Jackie” Leduc (late Leonide Quenneville), Jean-Guy (Rachelle) and Gérald (Evelyn); her parents Zépherin and Rose-Alma (née Trépannier) Stang; and her brothers Moïse (late Laurette), Zépherin “Bidou”, Raymond (late Beatrice) and Paul-Emile. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home – Boulerice Centre, 218 Montreal Road, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in Nativity Co-Cathedral on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal to follow in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault. If so desired, contributions in her memory to charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
