CORDNER, Doreen – Passed away peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, March 9, 2019. Mary “Doreen” Cordner (née Henry) formerly of Summerstown and of LaSalle; age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late John George Cordner (2015). Loving mother of Ian Cordner (Clifford), Karen Peckover (Brian) and the late Michael Cordner. Doreen will be sadly missed by surviving relatives Robert Cordner, Bill Cordner(Judy), Herbert Henry(Jessie), Rea Parsons and many nieces and nephews in Canada, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Predeceased by her parents Herbert Henry and Ellen McMullen of Northern Ireland. Cherished grandmother of Cindi, Stephanie, Richard, Colin, Allison and Glenn and great-grandmother of Emily, Virginia and Gabriel. A Celebration of Life was held in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, S. Lancaster: Thursday March 21, 2019 at 11 am. Spring Interment in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the MUNRO & MORRIS FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629). As a Memorial to Doreen a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
