Donald Bond
Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Loving and devoted husband to Carole Bond (nee MacCuaig) and predeceased by his wife and best friend for 44 years Enid Bond (nee Gourley). Cherished father of Jeffrey (Rhonda), Stephen (Amy) and Murray (Alison) and second father to Carole’s children William (Shannon) and Lori. Wonderful grandfather of Tory, Lauren, Colin, Marion, Lily, Alys and Elsie. Predeceased by his parents Leonard Bond and Louise Greig, brothers Stephen and Clifford, survived by sister Mary Ames and brothers Charles and David Bond. Donald will be fondly remembered by his many students and colleagues in the teaching profession. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Munro & Morris Funeral Home Ltd., 20 Main Street, Maxville (613) 527-2898 on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1-1:45 p.m.. A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at Maxville United Church on Tuesday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Donald’s memory may be made to the Maxville Manor Foundation. As a memorial to Donald, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
