Darlene Sampson
It is with great sadness that we announce Darlene’s passing at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at the age of 72. Cherished mother of Kimberly-Ann Sampson of Ottawa and Shawn Robert Sampson of Cornwall, and loved by their father, the late Robert Sampson. Loving sister of Réjean Viau (Diane) of Granby, Elaine Viau and Carol Viau both of Cornwall. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews and friends. Caring daughter of the late Lucien Viau and late Georgette (née Haines) Viau, and daughter-in-law of the late Roland Sampson and Jeannine Sampson (née Haines). Madame Darlene will be fondly remembered by many students whose lives she’s touched over the years. The family would like to thank the staff at Bayshore HealthCare for the compassion and care provided over the years.
Visitation will be held at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 9am until time of procession to Sainte-Thérèse-de-Lisieux Parish, 1304 Lisieux St, Cornwall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society or the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
