MILLER, Dale – Mr. Dale Miller passed away at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Dale was a farm boy who grew up in Medonte Township, Simcoe County, who moved to Eastern Ontario in 1966 as the agricultural representative for Stormont County. He became active in the community through his involvement with the Freemasons, Rotary Club of Cornwall, Glengarry Old Time Fiddlers, Salem United Church and the local Heart and Stroke Foundation. Beloved husband of 58 years to Elizabeth “Bette” (née Tillman) Miller. Loving father of Kathy Miller, Brenda Beaudette (Peter), and the late David Miller. Sadly missed by his 5 grandchildren Jana Hall (Shaun), Katelyn, Jennifer, Adam, and Alex Beaudette; nieces and nephews and 2 great-grandchildren Miller and Daria Hall. Loved son of the late William and Dorothy (née Jones) Miller. Dear brother of Karl Miller (Pauline) and the late Jane Cheval (late John). Friends will be received at Salem United Church, 19041 County Road 2, Summerstown, Ontario on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10-10:45 AM. Afterward, friends are invited to join in a celebration of Dale’s life that will take place at 11:00 AM with the Reverend John Noordhof officiating. Committal at a later date in Hobart Memorial Cemetery, Simcoe County, Ontario. If so desired, contributions in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The family would also like to take a moment to extend their thanks to the Ottawa Civic Hospital – the ICU and Neurosurgery teams in particular – for their outstanding care and support.
