Connie Louise Norman (Groves)
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Connie Louise Norman (nee Groves) on Friday, July 21st, 2023 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of Harold Norman for 56 years. Loving mother of Steven Norman (Beth), Sherrill Norman (Gaylord), Jason Norman (Kim) and Jamie Norman (Melissa). Cherished grandmother of Paul, Jessica, Brennan, Connor, Bailey, Emiley, Joshua, Olivia and very proud great grandmother of Peyton and Lennon. Sadly missed by step-grandson, Greg. Connie will be missed by her sister Nancy Shevchik (late Joseph) and her brothers Bruce Groves (Audrey) and Eric Groves (Cathy). Predeceased by her parents Charles and Evelyn Groves (nee Copithorne). Connie graduated from the Cornwall General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of ‘66. She was proud of her rural roots, loved life on the farm, being surrounded by family and friends, and working on projects in her sewing room. Connie was an avid quilter and her beautiful quilts are held dear to many. Our hearts are broken and we miss her deeply, but her strength and resilience will live on in our hearts and memories forever. A Graveside Service will be held at Gravel Hill Cemetery on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11 AM, followed by a reception at the Monkland Recreational Center. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations can be made in Connie’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
