Peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Sunday February 4, 2024 at the age of 78 years. Claire Geneau (née Leroux) of Cornwall. Beloved wife of Fernand Geneau. Loving mother of Normand Geneau (Lilianne Vernier), Sylvie De La Fontaine (Guy) and Paul Geneau (Gwen Cameron). Proud grandmother of Patricia, Stephanie, Patrick, Nathaniel and great grandmother of Harmoney, Theo, Dominic, Aaron, Hollyanna and Vincent. Cherished sister of Pierrette Leroux (Lucien Tessier), Gaetan Leroux (Lynda Dixon). Claire will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Rene Leroux, Florence (née Leger) Leroux, her sisters Murielle Leroux (Maurice Carriere), Rejeanne Leroux (Jean-Guy Geneau/Gerald Chenier) and her brother Normand Leroux. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482). A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
