Monday, July 12th, 2010 – Friday, August 30th, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing on Friday, August 30, 2024 of Charlotte Irma Joan Light, a beloved 14 year old who left this world far too soon.
Beloved daughter of Gregory and Ashley Light (née Cook). Loving sister of Hawley, Mayzie, Penelope, Beckett, and Ezekiel. Treasured grand-daughter of Marilynn Light (née Hawley) and the late John Light and of Michael and Tammy Cook (née Desnoyers). Cherished great-grand-daughter of Irma Cook and Wayne Sorbie. Adored niece of Andrew Peck (Erin), Tanis Merimee (Bill), Thomass Light (Tracy), Raïssa Smith (Nicholas), Meredith Koopman (Paul), and Drew Cook (Kayla). Charlotte will de greatly missed by 32 cousins, extended family, and many, many friends.
Charlotte was the oldest of six children, a role she embraced with love and care, always guiding her younger siblings with wisdom beyond her years.
Charlotte was the light of her family and friends, known for her infectious smile and kind heart. Her devotion to God was unwavering, and she lived her life with faith and compassion, always striving to do what was right.
A gifted young girl, Charlotte had a passion for the arts and was deeply involved in theater productions. Her performances on stage were captivating, and she found joy in bringing characters to life, sharing her talent with everyone who had the privilege of watching her. She was a dancer for ten years who enjoyed ballet, tap, and most recently jazz.
Beyond the stage, Charlotte was a dedicated soccer player, displaying the same energy and commitment on the field as she did in all areas of her life. She also had a deep love for reading, often getting lost in the pages of a good book, where she found inspiration and escape.
Charlotte touched the lives of many in her short time on earth, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Though her time with us was brief, the impact Charlotte made will last forever. Her light will continue to shine in the memories we hold, and her spirit will guide those she left behind.
