Peacefully at home in Cornwall on Thursday, November 5, 2020 Brian “Taff” Jones; age 84 years. Brian was born in Aberdare, Wales, UK on March 31, 1936. Beloved husband of Darlene Primeau-Jones. Survived by five of his six sons, Martin (Mary) of NS, Phillip and Lee of Osnabruck Centre, Steve (Sandra) of BC, and Kevin of Cornwall. Remembered by his five stepdaughters Karen McCarroll-Becker of Edmonton, Debra McCarroll-Gagnon of Cornwall, Shelley McCarroll-Ladouceur of Ingleside, Sandra McCarroll-Desjardins and Sabrina McCarroll-Whitford of Cornwall. Predeceased by one son Ceri Jones.
Brian immigrated to Canada in 1966 on Thanksgiving weekend with his first wife, Rose, and four of their six sons to find work in Montreal because of a lack of jobs in Wales. He worked for Bombardier, Air Canada, and Bell Helicopter as a tool maker building jigs. Brian was a quiet Welshman who came from the valleys of Wales to end up in our Seaway Valley.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall. Memorial donations to a charity of choice gratefully acknowledged.
