At Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Brenda (née King). Loving father of Allen Gaines, Tammy Turbide (Andre), Denise Schroeder (Thomas Blekicki) and Darryl Gaines (Tricia Patrick). Cherished grandfather of Kevin, Tristan, Melanie, Stephanie, Alicia, Abbey, Jessica, Michaela and Alyssa and great-grandfather of Easton and Riley. Dear brother of Brenda Lisanti, Donna Friesen (Hal), Bonnie Brown (Scott) and Heather Gibbons (Jim). Predeceased by his parents Claude and Ella (née Jones) Gaines, his brother Glen (Rosie) and by his infant son David Gaines.
Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Thursday, February 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday, February 14 from 9 am. Funeral Service will follow in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday at 11 am.
