At the Chartwell McConnell Retirement Residence on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Babara Marchand (née Rose) of Lachine, Québec; age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Philippe Marchand. Loving mother of Daniel (Tak), Catherine Schlosser (Eric), Kevin (Reggie), Steven (Brenda), and Jeffrey. Predeceased by her son David. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. A friend too many, she was a cherished member of the Canadian Kennel club (50 years), and the Old English Sheepdog club community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
“Mom, your wonderful hugs and kisses will forever be missed, but you will live on in the hearts of all those who love you.” A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Basilica on October 5th, 2024 at 10 a.m.. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772).
