SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – On February 23, 2017 at approximately 4:50pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle at a property on County Road 31, South Dundas Township.
Investigation indicated that the plates on the vehicle were expired. Upon speaking to the driver, he provided false identification and fled from the officer on foot. He was arrested a short distance away. Further information revealed that he was also wanted by Ottawa Police Service.
Eric LAROCQUE (28) of No Fixed Address is charged with;
– Obstruct Peace Officer
– Escape Lawful Custody
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
Larocque is wanted by the Ottawa Police for multiple breach of conditions, multiple other charges including break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime, theft, and theft of a vehicle.
Larocque has been on the run since the fall of 2015.
