Cornwall, Ontario – Aultsville Theatre’s volunteers were celebrated at a special appreciation event on April 23 at RCAFA Wing 424. The event, orchestrated by Gisele Roy, Front of House & Volunteer Coordinator, acknowledged the indispensable contributions of forty-eight volunteers who dedicated a record 1,708 hours across 60 events in 2023.
Training provided to volunteers includes roles as lobby greeters, ticket takers, water sales personnel, coat room attendants, and door ushers, particularly aiding patrons with mobility issues. These roles are important in enhancing patron experiences at every event.
Lee Cassidy, Chair of the Aultsville Theatre Board of Directors, expressed deep gratitude towards the volunteers, stating, “Without their dedication, Aultsville Theatre simply could not function. Volunteers are truly the welcoming face of our theatre.” The evening celebrated the spirit of volunteerism that sustains Aultsville Theatre, a non-for-profit entity, and a cornerstone of Cornwall’s cultural landscape since 1976.
