SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – The South Stormont Chamber of Commerce is launching a new, travelling trade show, which will take place across the municipality from Friday, Sept. 20 to Sunday, Sept. 22.
“We are excited about this event,” said Coordinator Lynn White. “It will benefit all businesses and customers who participate. We, the Chamber, love how it so perfectly reflects our mission statement: to foster the social and economic well-being of the community.”
Those who wish to participate in the self-guided tour can follow a map displaying where each participating merchant, small business or tradesperson will host. The map can be viewed in the Sept. 18 version of Seaway News or within the coming days on the South Stormont Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, which will also include more information here.
“We are inviting all types of businesses to get involved. Storefronts, restaurants, pubs, home-based businesses, garages, tradespeople, health care professionals, ice cream vendors, on-line marketers, hair stylists, merchants… if you have a business in South Stormont, we would love to have you participate,” said White. “Participating businesses are encouraged to do their own thing, whether offering specials, or promotional items. The Chamber recognizes business owners know their market, and encourage creativity. This will create buzz and excitement.”
Each member of the Chamber is not required to pay a fee to participate, while non-members are asked to contribute $75 to host a location. Both members and non-members are asked to donate a minimum $25 gift which will be included in a gift basket up for grabs.
