The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre is launching a new series of networking events and an open invitation is extended to business owners and community leaders from across the region.
The new series is a relaunch of Breakfast Connections which was popular from 2007-2017. The first 2023 event will take place on Tuesday, February 14th from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. in Long Sault and future meetings will be held bi-monthly across Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
“We are excited to be bringing Breakfast Connections back to Cornwall and SDG,” says Shauna Baggs, Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre. “We’re fortunate to have the support of so many wonderful community partners and look forward to connecting with businesses across the region throughout the year.”
This free event will take place at the South Stormont Community Hall (2 Mille Roches Road, Long Sault) and will be an excellent opportunity to network with fellow business owners and entrepreneurs and learn from one of the region’s most successful new businesses of 2022, The Lost Villages Brewery (LVB).
John Wright, co-owner of LVB will be the keynote speaker for the event and will share his experience opening his business in South Stormont, and the support he and his team were able to take advantage of from organizations such as the Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre, the United Counties of SDG, RTO9 (the regional tourism organization servicing eastern Ontario), ACC Futures and the important ongoing relationship with the Township of South Stormont.
“The opportunity for our business owners and entrepreneurs to network and learn from each other is invaluable,” said South Stormont Mayor Bryan McGillis. “We’re very pleased to host Breakfast Connections to provide that opportunity, and to share the information about the many grants and programs that are available to our SDG businesses to help them start, pivot or grow their business.”
Representatives from local economic development offices will be on hand to speak to businesses about the many financial and educational supports that are available to them within the region and provide valuable information on how to access grant funding and move your business forward.
A full complimentary breakfast will be served by Quinn’s Inn of St. Andrews West and is made possible through the generous support of The Township of South Stormont, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Choose Cornwall, Seguin Financial, ACC Futures and Konink Logistics.
There is no cost to attend the Business Breakfast, however, pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 100 attendees, so be sure to register early to avoid disappointment!
