Cornwall, Ontario – Cornwall’s economy continues to be strong, with local companies creating new jobs in a variety of sectors. Job seekers will have a chance to meet dozens of local employers in-person at the Cornwall and Area Job Fair in April.
The Job Fair will be held at the Cornwall Square on Thursday, April 21 and is being organized by the Social Development Council of Cornwall and Area’s Employability Network. The event is free and open to anyone seeking employment in Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, and Akwesasne.
“With Covid 19 restrictions reducing we believe the timing is right to help our local employers connect with job seekers,” said Carilyne Hebert, Executive Director of the Social Development Council of Cornwall and Area. “Recruitment has been difficult over the last 2 years and we hope this job fair will help fill the over 500 jobs available in our community.” .
The Job Fair will feature two sessions to allow people with different schedules attend the event:
- First Session: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Second Session: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
