CORNWALL, Ontario – Rather than being behind the wheel of a race car, Paul Renaud fulfills his need for speed under the hood.
He opened Paul’s Auto Body in Cornwall nine years ago with his brother, Jean-Guy.
Renaud celebrated the anniversary of his family business and its long and exciting journey with a free car wash and BBQ Saturday.
The customer appreciation event was packed with loyal clientele and a lineup of tricked-out muscle cars.
Since its grand opening, Paul’s Auto Body has been located at 115 Eleventh Street West.
Renaud chalked up the auto body shop’s longevity to family and friends, dedication, customers that rely on quality work, and word of mouth.
He credited his wife, Sandy, daughter, Chelsea, 23, and 21-year-old son, Casey, a mechanic at the shop, for their support. “We do a variety of things: mechanical, body, custom. But we also do a lot of other things that most auto body shops don’t do,” said Renaud. “We’re a little bit different. We do the mechanical aspect of it as well, instead of just focusing on straight body work and collisions. And we incorporate it all in one building.”
Paul’s Auto Body also proudly sponsors two race cars at the Cornwall Motor Speedway.
“We’re at the race track on the weekend, I like to support what our hobbies are,” said Renaud.
