Motorists can legally go a little faster on a section of Highway 401 now that the province has increased the speed limit permanently from 100 km/h to 110 km/h on a 107-kilomere section of the highway between Highway 16, near Prescott, to the Quebec border. The limit has also been raised to 110 on Highway 416 from Highway 401 to Ottawa.
