IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Lydia Ayotte, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 12, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On June 23, 2024, police responded to a suspicious vehicle call and an investigation ensued. The woman was located and the investigation revealed she was allegedly operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 11, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 12, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Three counts of fail to comply with undertaking
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic
- Uttering threats to damage property
- Domestic assault with a weapon
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
It is alleged on June 12, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a second undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicatewith the individual and to not attend any place she may be found. Additionally, it is alleged on this date, the woman was in contact with the individual she was not supposed to communicate with. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman threatened to harm her ex-boyfriend and damage his property. Finally, it is alleged the woman brandished an edged weapon and threated to stab her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later on June 12, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 12, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on June 11, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. It is also alleged on this date, the youth ran away from home. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 12, 2024, the youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
