Cornwall, ON (April 4, 2024) – To help manage pet populations and reach underserved communities, the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is bringing its new MASH-style spay/neuter and wellness clinic to Cornwall from April 5-7.
These new portable outreach events are designed to be easily packed up and transported to wherever they are needed, including remote communities where road access is limited.
In addition to spay/neuter procedures, this three-day clinic for cats also offers general wellness services, including examinations, vaccinations, and microchips. Appointments for eligible residents are subsidized by the City of Cornwall through its Subsidized Spay/Neuter Program to help control the local cat population.
“We’re pleased to once again be working with the City of Cornwall to reach underserved members of the community who may not be able to access this care for their animals,” says Bonnie Bishop, Eastern Regional Manager of Community Outreach Services, Ontario SPCA and Humane Society. “Our goal is to help make basic animal wellness services more accessible to keep pets and families together.”
