With the arrival of April comes National Volunteer Month –a time to reflect on the contributions of volunteers across our community.
Here at Aultsville Theatre, I am fortunate to see firsthand the impact of our vibrant community of 40+ volunteers that we are fortunate to have serving both our clients and guests throughout the year.
For most of our guests, the first faces you see upon entering our lobby is that of our volunteer Front of House team. Identified by their white shirts, red lanyards and smiling faces this team provides valuable support to ensure that our events run smoothly. With over 1700 hours served by this team in 2023 alone, they are an integral part of our Theatre operations, and their dedication is the foundation of Aultsville Theatre’s success.
As a not-for-profit, Aultsville Theatre is led by a volunteer Board of Directors who lead our organization, lending their time, expertise and guiding our path forward. We have also been fortunate to enjoy the support of committee members who have driven initiatives like the Aultsville Film Festival and other fundraisers working tirelessly to ensure that we are able to make the investments in equipment we need to best serve Cornwall and surrounding areas.
Together, these dedicated community leaders have donated thousands of hours over the last twenty plus years to serve our community and bring with them a passion for both the arts and giving back. With so many worthwhile causes in the community, I am humbled by the fact that our volunteers continuously step up to help drive our success.
To all that give their time to our community, we thank you for your support and celebrate your contributions!
Happy Volunteer Month to you all!
