Cornwall, Ontario – CAPE is set to kick off its two-day extravaganza with the return of its Cosplay Contest on Saturday, April 20, at the Benson Centre. The contest, absent in recent years, promises to be a highlight of the weekend-long event. Robby Eccleshall of Aero Cosplay, the driving force behind the contest’s revival, shared his thoughts. ” I wanted to bring the contest back. To have the cosplayers show up with their A Game, displaying all their hard work and efforts, and be awarded recognition is what it’s all about.”
Contestants must attend CAPE and sign up at the booth located near the entrance onto the floor. There are 15 categories including Best Armour/Props, Best Kids Cosplay, and Best Wig. The judges are Aero Cosplay, Anniechie Designs, Reckless Lady Cosplay, and Soulette Cosplay. Prizes range from a photoshoot with Open Shutter Photography to autographed memorabilia to contributions from various vendors.
