JOANNE LECOMPTE
On Saturday November 25th, the St. Andrews Fire Department was out in the neighbourhoods of Rosedale Terrace and St. Andrews Village on their first ever PB Crawl for Agapè.
For the last 3 years, the St. Andrews Fire Department (South Stormont Station 4) have answered Royal LePage Performance Realty`s Peanut Butter Challenge for Agapè. Because it was the 10th Anniversary, they wanted to do something big! Two weeks prior, student volunteers delivered flyers to let everyone know they would be crawling through the neighborhoods collecting peanut butter on the 25th, it was a huge success and that day they collected 412 jars of peanut butter from the respective neighborhoods.
Their total donation of PB to Agapè was 576 jars! Thank you to the volunteers and everyone who generously participated in the challenge and are looking forward to doing it again next year and expanding in to the Headline Road area.
