CORNWALL, Ontario – The SD&G OSPCA has received five puppies who have been transferred to the region from a remote Manitoba community.
“These furry little sweethearts – Vienna, Sydney, Paris, Tokyo and Geneva – are approximately eight weeks old and are looking for a forever home to call their own. Interested in adopting one of them? The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre will open at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday,” the OSPCA wrote in a press release. “Adoptions will be facilitated on a first-come, first-served basis.”
The five puppies are from a group of 26 that were rehomed across the province of Ontario.
“You are going to want to meet these loveable little Northern pups if you’re been considering welcoming a puppy into your family. They’re almost too cute for words! says Carol Link, Manager, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre. “If you can’t adopt, there are many ways you can get involved in the Year of the Northern Dog initiative.”
The OSPCA has declared 2018 the Year of the Northern Dog to bring awareness to the problem of dog over population in Northern communities.
