ALEXANDRIA, Ontario – North Glengarry has named a new CAO/Clerk to replace Don Gagnon who left for a job in Elliot Lake at the end of 2017. Steve Porter has served as interim CAO/Clerk while a full-time replacement was being found.
On Friday, March 2, the Township of North Glengarry had announced Sarah Huskinson as the new CAO/ Clerk.
“On behalf of Council, I would like to congratulate Sarah Huskinson and to thank all of the candidates who applied for this position,” said North Glengarry Mayor Chris McDonell.
“Council knows that Sarah will bring to the CAO/Clerk position the same diligence and excellence in leadership that she has displayed in her position in finance.” The Mayor added that “Council would also like to thank Mr. Steven Potter for his services as Interim CAO/Clerk, during a productive transition period.”
Huskinson joined the Township administration as Deputy Treasurer in December 2017 and was quickly named the new Director of Finance in January.
“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Township of North Glengarry” said Huskinson. “I look forward to working in collaboration with Council, Staff, and our community partners, to meet the needs of our residents and to move the Township forward in a positive direction.”
The Township of North Glengarry is now searching for a new Director of Finance.
