NORTH STORMONT, Ontario – The North Stormont Fire Department responded to a fire in a garage at a residence on Hwy 138 on the afternoon of Monday, April 2, 2018.
The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon in a garage at a residence near Warina Rd. on Hwy 138.
The North Stormont Fire Chief Dan Gauvin told Seaway News that they have not yet determined the cause of the fire, but said that a family of seven has been temporarily displaced. Gauvin said that there were no injuries to report.
The fire caused delays on Hwy 138 for a few hours while fire crews fought the blaze. Gauvin said that the fire was out by around 7 p.m.
