September 24 is World Rivers Day. In Cornwall, we are fortunate to live along the beautiful St. Lawrence River.
Celebrated since 2005, World Rivers Day is a global day of awareness around the harmful effects of water pollution. It encourages people to not only acknowledge the problem of water pollution but also learn about personal actions everyone can take to be a part of the solution.
