ONTARIO – On Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 10:45 a.m., Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the following areas:
Cornwall – Lancaster
Maxville – Alexandria
Morrisburg – Long Sault
Winchester – Newington
The alert states that a few severe thunderstorms may develop from early this afternoon to early this evening.
Conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce hail, damaging winds and torrential rainfall.
