CORNWALL, Ontario – Environment Canada has put the Eastern Ontario region under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Wednesday, Aug. 29.
“Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain,” the Environment Canada statement reads. “Thunderstorms may develop near noon or early this afternoon and rapidly intensify.”
In addition to the storms and the rain, The Weather Network is reporting that it will also feel sweltering throughout the day with temperatures as high as 42 degrees with the humidity.
