Cornwall Triathlon Road Closures

The Cornwall Police Service (CPS) is advising motorists of upcoming road closures as a result of the Cornwall Triathlon event taking place this weekend.

On Sunday, August 27th, 2023 between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, Montreal Road will be closed between Marlborough Street and Boundary Road, as well as portions of Race Street and Harbour Road. These closures will be in place for the safety of participants and volunteers with the Cornwall Triathlon.

Local traffic will be permitted travel through the following emergency access intersections:

  • Montreal Rd. and Alice St.
  • Montreal Rd. and Arthur St./Baldwin St.
  • Marlborough St. at William St./Race St.
  • Montreal Rd. at Dunbar St. (access lane to Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge)

Driving on a closed highway (road) is a violation under the Highway Traffic Act and anyone in violation may be subject to a fine of $110.

The CPS would like to thank the members of our community for their cooperation and understanding. We wish all athletes competing in the event a safe and successful morning.
