UNITED COUNTIES of SD&G, Ontario – Environment Canada is warning that temperatures in the region could drop below minus 30 tonight.
This comes after heavy snowfall dumped 20 to 30 cm on the region.
“A period of very cold wind chills is expected,” the Environment Canada weather warning reads. “Extreme wind chill values near or below minus 35 are expected overnight and early Sunday morning.”
Temperatures in the area will likely stay near or below minus 30 for most of the day Sunday and Monday, before rising to minus 7 on Tuesday.
