Escaped Quebec killer could be heading to Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Ontario – Sûreté du Québec (SQ) announced in the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 23 that they were searching for Sean Brennan.

Brennan is described as 29-years-old, 5’11, 210 pounds with green eyes. He is said to be billingual.

Brennan escaped from the l’Institut Philippe-Pinel in Montreal sometime after 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Brennan was being held at the l’Institut since 2011 after stabbing Bryan Bougie to death. Brennan stabbed Bougie 91 times. Brennan had been staying with Bougie as a roommate.

He was found not criminally responsible for mental health reasons.

The SQ say that Brennan could be in Montreal or Alexandria and that if spotted he should not be approached.

Sgt. Joyce Kemp, spokesperson for the SQ, asks the public to call 9-11 or the SQ Criminal Information Center at 1-800-659-4264 immediately if he is spotted.

He was least seen wearing a long black coat, gray jeans, and a short-sleeved black shirt.
