SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – On Jan. 29, 2018 at approximately 8:51am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a Van from a Business on Cornwall Centre Road, South Stormont Township.
Investigation indicated that sometime overnight Jan. 28, 2018 a 2008 Orange Dodge Caravan was removed from the property.
An investigation continues.
STOLEN SNOWMOBILE
SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – On Jan. 29, 2018 at approximately 11:08 a.m., Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a Snowmobile from Hoople Creek, on County Road 2, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that sometime (between 6:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m.) Jan. 29, 2018 a black and red 2004 arctic cat 700 EFI with Ontario Plate (3AE324) was removed from the property.
An investigation continues.
EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – On Jan. 29, 2018, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Hwy 401, South Dundas Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for travelling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.
– Jan. 29, 2018 – 2:50 p.m. (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 160km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver, 23, from Pickering, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
IMPAIRED DRIVER
NORTH DUNDAS, Ontario – On Jan. 29, 2018 at approximately 8:08 p.m., Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Cty Rd. 1, North Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol. This also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.
Chelsa DUNHAM, 35, of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Drive a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Feb. 6, 2018.
