CORNWALL, Ontario – JD Pogue had two goals and an assist including the overtime winner as the Colts beat Smiths Falls 4-3 at the Ed Lumley Arena Thursday night.
Josh Barnes had a goal and an assist. Tommy Tanner also scored as the Colts improved to 24-17-4-2 (54pts) for fourth place in the CCHL standings.
Liam Lascelle made 24 saves for the victory as the Colts outshot the Bears 30-27.
For the second home game in a row, the Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Colts Player was Ethan Mulhearn.
The Pizza Pizza Three Stars were First Star JD Pogue (COR), Second Star Josh Barnes (COR) and Third Star Ethan Coltart (SF).
Prior to the game, Liam Lascelle was recognized for becoming the Cornwall Colts franchise leader in wins, saves and games played. All three milestones were accomplished in the last month of Colts games.
The Colts next game is Saturday night against the Jr Senators in Ottawa. Game time is 7:30pm.
