MAXVILLE, Ontario – The fair season in the United Counties of SD&G kicked off this weekend with the 130th edition of the Maxville Fair.
Running From Friday, June 22 to Sunday, June 24, this year’s event was again organized by the Kenyon Agricultural Society and sponsored by MacEwen, Giant Tiger, the Township of North Glengarry, CIBC, Calco Soils, the Glengarry Federation of Agriculture and the Maxville Veterinary Clinic.
While there were no carinval rides this year, there was still plenty of activities to keep the fairgoers busy.
There were 3D thrill rides, reptile shows, K9 Demonstrations and a craft corner where kids could make birdhouses with supplies provided by Maxville Home Hardware.
Sunday saw a free pancake breakfast, a highland dance competition, wagon rides and more.
The next fair of the season is the Avonmore Fair starting on Friday, July 20.
