Cornwall 13-year-old charged with stealing bank card & assault with a knife

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 7, 2018 and charged with assault with a weapon, threats, possession of a credit card, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

It is alleged the youth was in possession of his mother’s bank card on June 2, 2018 without her permission. When a man known to the youth asked for the bank card to be returned, the youth allegedly assaulted the man with a knife and threatened to harm him and the youth’s mother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 7, 2018, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Brian Keeler, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on June 7, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 7, 2018 the man was located by police. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
