Jennifer MacIsaac seeks council seat in South Stormont

SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – Long-time community organizer Jennifer MacIsaac is running for council in South Stormont.

“I am looking forward to offering a fresh perspective and serving to the very best of my ability the people of the community about which I have always cared so deeply,” MacIsaac said in a press release.

Currently the Community Relations Coordinator for the Seaway International Bridge Corporation, MacIsaac touts a background in communications, finance and marketing.

MacIsaac has been involved with the Ingleside Firefighters’ Association Annual Firefighter Challenges for the past six years and is currently helping plan their Celebration 60 event.

She has been involved in Sout Stormont sports, the Celebration 50 committee, the Ingleside Parks Committee and most recently chaired the Save South Stormont Schools campaign.

“Having been raised in South Stormont, I am keenly aware of how fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful community.” Throughout the past sixty years, South Stormont has become the fastest growing municipality of SDG and is on target to becoming the biggest municipality of all of the Counties. “I want to help find the best path for our community’s future,” stated MacIsaac. “South Stormont’s future looks bright; however, we must work hard to defend our assets and find the innovative solutions that are the right fit for our community.”

If elected, MacIsaac said she would work to meet the needs of her constituents.

“I hope to have the opportunity to contribute in a positive way to a team that will work towards increasing communication and transparency and engage our residents to make South Stormont an even better place in which to grow-up, raise a family and retire,” she said.
