CORNWALL, Ontario – This Saturday, June 23, the third annual Kicks for a Cause will be taking place at Williamstown Public School.
All funds raised this year will again go to support Beyond 21.
The organizers are hoping to have 16 teams this year and have 14 signed up last year.
Last year’s event organizer Colton Gallant said that he has had a lot of help this time around from a fantastic organizing committee.
“This year I had a lot of people reach out to me and offer their help,” he said. “New people have helped me bring in different teams and we are looking at having some music and a BBQ.”
Last year the event raised $1,800 for Beyond 21.
“It is all for a good cause,” said Gallant, who has worked with Beyond 21 in the past. “Considering they don’t get government funding, what they are doing is pretty awesome.”
The event starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
