CORNWALL, Ontario – Courtauld’s has been closed for 26 years now, but for the ladies who worked there the comradery is still going strong.

Every June, Terry Mitchell gets together with colleagues for dinner to talk about all the great times they had.

“We miss it, ye, we miss a lot of the work that we did do and the friendships that we had, and in this way, we get to continue that with each other,” said Terry.

Terry had been at Courtaulds right to the end of December of 1992 and is the glue that keeps their group stuck together by orchestrated their reunions.

The group consists of close to 20 employees that meet twice a year when the weather is good, sometimes going for dinner at the Blue Anchor or even just a potluck like the one they had this Sunday.

“It was a really good working climate because there were no scandals, we all got along pretty well,” said Chris Cummins a colleague of Terry’s.
