SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On July 4, 2018 at 1:01pm Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a two vehicle collision on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.
Investigation has indicated that at approximately at 1:01pm, a truck with one adult male (69) driver was travelling westbound on Highway 401 at mile marker 819, South Glengarry Township, when for reasons still under investigation, left the west bound lanes and entered into the east bound lanes and struck a van with an adult male (49) driver.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital, the 69-year-old male is in critical condition while the 49-year-old male suffered non-life threatening injuries.
A section of Highway 401(Between MM814 and MM825) was closed to traffic, but has since been re-opened.
SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) continue to investigate.
