SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On June 28, 2018 at approximately 10:28 p.m., Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officer attempted stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Hwy 401, South Glengarry Township. 

The vehicle failed to comply with the request and continued on until it was successfully intercepted by officers on Cty Rd. 2, South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Robert Longchamps, 24, of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Dangerous operation of motor vehicle

– Flight while pursued by peace officers

– Stunt Driving – 186km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway Traffic Act)

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July 17, 2018.
