The International Day for Human Space Flight celebrates the anniversary of the first human trip into space.
The flight took place on April 12th, 1961. Soviet Yuri Gagarin made the first trip around Earth in outer space, sparking renewed interest in space exploration around the world.
In 2021, humankind reached the milestone of having sent 600 people to space since that first trip. Now almost anyone can go to space… with enough $$$. Space tourism is a growing industry, with some companies hoping to open up space hotels in the distant future.
Can you imagine, humans on the future choosing between a trip down south or a trip to outer space?
