CORNWALL, Ontario – With Santa Claus visiting fans at the Ed Lumley Arena, Hawkesbury played the Grinch and defeated the Colts 4-3 Thursday night.
The loss snaps the Colts 6 game winning streak.
Ethan Grant (2), JD Pogue (11) and Ethan Mulhearn (6) scored for the Colts as their record falls to 19-14-4-1 (43pts). Cameron Hebert chipped in with two assists.
The Hawks outshot the Colts 32-29 with Michael Carr getting tagged with the loss.
The Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Colts Player was Michael Carr.
The Pizza Pizza Three Stars were First Star Matthew Petizian (HAW), Second Star David Jankowski (HAW) and Third Star Cameron Hebert (COR).
The Colts wrap up their pre-Christmas schedule with a game in Brockville tomorrow night. Game time is 7:30pm at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
