SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – On Dec. 11, 2017 at approximately 11:18 a.m., SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a Break and Enter in progress at a former business on County Road 2, South Dundas Township. SD&G officer located the suspects at the location and the investigation indicated that the culprits forcibly entered the business and removed several items.
SD&G OPP Officers arrested two male in connection with the break-in.
A 15-year-old male of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Break and Enter
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
– Fail to Comply with conditions of Probation Order (3 counts)
– Possession of a Controlled substance – marihuana
A 14-year-old Male of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Break and Enter
Both Males were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Jan. 25, 2018.
The name of the accused are being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – On Dec. 13, 2017, Highway Safety Division Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Dundas Township and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.
– Dec. 13, 2017 – 1:35 p.m. (South Dundas) vehicle stopped travelling 159km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (31) from Toronto, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
BREAK IN
SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – On Dec 13, 2017 at approximately 5:12 p.m., Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in progress at a residence on Kent Crescent, South Stormont Township. The homeowner returned home to find an unknown male inside the home. The suspect then fled the location without removing any property. The male is described as: white male, 30-40 years old, wearing a black jacket and white Nike running shoes. SD&G K9 Unit attended with negative results.
