CORNWALL, Ontario – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 9, 2017 and charged with assault, sexual assault, mischief, threats, criminal harassment, possession of explosive devices and breach.
It is alleged on August 8, 2017 the man assaulted and sexually assaulted his common-law wife, damaged some of her property despite being bound by an undertaking with conditions not to communicate with her or be within 30 meters of her residence. It is also alleged the man threatened to harm the woman if police were contacted. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation it was learned the man was in possession of “Molotov Cocktails”. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 9, 2017 and charged with assault and mischief. It is alleged during an argument on August 9, 2017 the man assaulted his wife and damaged a window in their residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – Amanda Tryon, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on August 10, 2017 and charged with possession of Fentanyl and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman was in possession of a quantity of Fentanyl when she was stopped at the Port of Entry in the early morning hours of August 10, 2017. Police were contacted, took the woman into custody, charged her accordingly and held her for a bail hearing.
