Big Turn Out for WBHUB Makers Pop-Up Market
Balloons decorate the steps leading up to WBHUB Makers Pop-Up Market last weekend.

Balloons lined the steps heading up to the courtyard at the Cotton Mill building this Saturday, August 27, 2022, to welcome shoppers to the WBHUB Makers Pop-Up Market. Twenty-three local vendors were set up both indoors and outdoors, making great use of the bright and spacious venue. Approximately 300 – 400 people showed up to mingle and shop local.

The event was hosted by Ashley Barnhart, owner of The Handmade Array, a small locally owned business that specializes in knitted hats and accessories for the whole family. This was Barnhart’s fourth event where citizens of Cornwall and SDG were encouraged come and to meet their favorite local makers and artisans.

Vendors that took part in this market included The Handmade Array, Bend&Snap, Stick it Stilettos, Summers Gates, Devine Designs, Lavender Skincare co, Maudern Abode, Cabin Design co, Jess Holistic Doula, Desirable Expressions, Melted Mayhem, Amethyst Claire, Sagely Made, Holly Rose Originals, 613 Plants, Soapladz, Birch Haus, Cup of Tea Kindness, Enchanté, Once Upon a Coffee Shop, Laughing Island co, Hillam House, Driftwood Candle co, and River Rhodes.

“The day went SO well!!! The atmosphere was energetic, and everyone was in good spirits. The vendors really got the chance to mingle and connect with one another. We all made reels, and collaborated on projects together, it was so great. The vibes were positive, and happy,” said Barnhart, “The venue WBHUB was AMAZING. Loved the space, and Tracey (admin) was so helpful, and great to work with.”

WBHUB is a coworking space that prides itself in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in Cornwall, Akwesasne, and SD&G.
