Bishop in Ontario accused of sexual offences in church

BRAMPTON, Ont. — Peel Regional Police say they have arrested a religious leader on sex charges.

Police say the complainant was allegedly sexually assaulted while attending a church in Brampton, Ont.

Investigators say the police special victims unit charged Bishop Clive Walters of Dundalk, Ont., Friday with sexual assault and sexual interference.

Walters, who is 58, is to appear in the Ontario court of justice on Oct. 3.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
