Fred Ngoundjo, Cornwall based Research Scientist with the Government of Canada, and local amateur sports organizer has announced that he will be running for the position of City Councillor in the municipal election to be held on Monday, October 24, 222.
“We recently celebrated Canada Day together, and with this spirit, I seek the opportunity to give back to this great country which we are so proud to call home, by helping to make our community an even better place” said Ngoundjo.
“I believe that with my fresh approach of thoughtful vision and consultation, followed by positive action, can help to produce good results” he added.
Fluently bilingual, Fred, 46, lives in Cornwall with his wife and two young children. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and other community organizations.
“Fred is a community minded individual. I think he’s exactly the right kind of new person we need around Council” said Mayor Glen Grant.
“I believe in Fred Ngoundjo’s candidacy and I wholeheartedly support him. We need a voice like his in municipal government to help us go forward as a community.” added former Mayor Bernadette Clement.
Councillor Elaine MacDonald joined in as well: “I like Fred and I support his candidacy. He would make a very positive contribution as a City Councillor”.
