Hatcher continues Lions’ dominance of CFL top player awards with Week 4 nod

TORONTO — B.C. wide receiver Keon Hatcher has been named the top performer of Week 4 of the CFL season, making it three times in four weeks the Lions have claimed the honour.

Hatcher caught seven passes for 177 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ 34-31 win over Ottawa on Thursday.

It was Hatcher’s first career game of 100 or more yards, highlighted by a 71-yard touchdown pass from Nathan Rourke in the third quarter.

Rourke was named the CFL’s top performer in Week 1 and Week 3. The Lions had a bye in Week 2.

Saskatchewan defensive linemen Anthony Lanier II and Pete Robertson were also honoured as players of the week on Tuesday.

Lanier had a career-high three sacks and Robertson had two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the Roughriders 41-20 victory over Montreal on Saturday.
