SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On November 4th and 5th, thousands of vendors and shoppers from all over gathered in the green houses of Marlin’s Orchard to take part in the biggest craft show in our area, We 3 Girls & Co.’s 8th Annual Trunk Sale. This year, the event was in support of Rachel’s Kids and it raised $39, 435.
Rachel’s Kids is a not for profit charitable organization that is an inspired community focused on improving the lives of children in need. Their mission is to promote hope and opportunity for children in need both locally and globally. Tyhe accomplish this by offering a variety of programs and collaborating with community organizations who are focused on shaping a better future for these children through health, wellness and education initiatives.
“I was blown away and couldn’t hold in my excitement when I found out that Rachel’s Kids was chosen for this year’s trunk sale. I knew how big this event has been in our community, and felt very lucky that we were selected to be the recipients of this year’s funds raised,” said Dr. Rachel Navaneelan Founder and Chair of Rachel’s Kids. “Thank you to all who were involved in making this event as successful as it was this year. It was an honor to be a part of it.”
The Scotiabank volunteer program assisted in raising this year’s total by matching in the amount of $5, 000.
